Short Cycle Drawn Arc Stud Welding is commonly refereed to as “Short Cycle Stud Welding” or “SC.”It is designed to weld studs up to 3/8" diameter on thin base material. Short cycle stud welding uses higher currents and shorter weld times, and is commonly used with shielding gasses to achieve optimal welds.
